Plug-In Hybrid 

Kuga is available with a state-of-the-art Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) powertrain that combines an battery-powered electric motor and 2.5-litre Duratec petrol engine. The hybrid battery can be coneniently recharged at home or at many public charge points. Fully charged, the Kuga PHEV can travel up to 35 miles on electric power alone and a combined potential hybrid range of up to 465 miles.

The driver can control when to activate the electric motor through EV Auto, EV Now, EV Later and EV Charge drive modes. This Plug-in Hybrid definitely is a no compromise option, delivering the best of both worlds.

EcoBlue Hybrid 

The economical 2.0 EcoBlue 150 PS engine has been been made even more efficient through advanced mild-hybrid technology. This advanced technology includes a  small electric motor with 48-volt battery pack. The mild-hybrid engine cannot be driven on electric power alone but provides support to the diesel engine when needed.

There is no need to charge the battery by connecting to an external power source as it recharges as you drive The overall effect of the mild-hybrid technology is that you are able to potentially achieve higher fuel consumption and better range, whist simultaneously reducing tailpipe emissions.
